A VIEW TO A KILL (1985)

This slow moving film is as tired and saggy as Roger Moore's face. Moore should have quit while he was ahead back in 1981 after the release of the excellent FOR YOUR EYES ONLY. The only bright spot in the cast is Patrick Macnee, otherwise known as John Steed from THE AVENGERS television series. But the rest of the cast is totally wrong, including Christopher Walken, a graduate from the School of Somnambulistic Acting. Here, John Glen's directorial skills are lost within the film's complete mess of a story and the narrative just goes on and on. 'Pacing, Mr. Glen, pacing!' The bottom line is this: does anyone really care about this GOLDFINGER wannabe and its scheme involving cornering the market on computer chips? Of course not!
